How To Save Money on Electric this Month
How To Save Money on Electric this Year
If you think you’re paying too much for gas and
electricity, yes you are but there are many simple things you can do to
spend less money on gas and electricity. You might be able to save a lot of
money.
+ If the cost of your energy stays the same each month. You might
be better off on a standard variable tariff because of the Energy Price
Guarantee. This limits what suppliers can charge for gas and electricity on
standard variable tariffs. Check what you're paying for energy. If you’d be
better off on your energy supplier’s standard variable tariff, they might let
you change tariffs free of charge.
+ If the cost of your energy can go up or down. You might have chosen a standard tariff, or your supplier might have put you on it after your fixed tariff ended. Standard tariffs are likely to be cheaper than fixed tariffs - this is because the Energy Price Guarantee limits what you must pay for energy on a standard tariff. It’s best to stay on the standard tariff you’re on and not switch.
